Ever since the first Dutch tourists arrived on Bali in the early 30s of last century, Bali has never failed to charm visitors from all over the world. Known for its balmy weather, lush green rice fields, tropical vegetation and deep azure blue seas against a backdrop of perfectly shaped volcanic cones, rich exotic culture and ever smiling population, Bali rates as one of the worlds top vacation destinations. In the early 80’s, divers started discovering Bali in earnest. Bali’s dive tourism saw an increase of globetrotting divers of almost 20 % a year during the last decade. This trend continues. One of Bali’s prime dive destinations is the Tulamben area. The Scuba Seraya Resort is situated 3 km before the village of Tulamben on its own private sandy beach near Tanjung Muntig. It overlooks the Lombok strait with Lombok Island a distance away against the gentle slope rising towards the peak of Gunung Agung in the immediate background.
The Hotel Vila Lumbung is a small exotic village surrounded by masterly designed tropical gardens of approximately 12.000 square meters. The special shape of the grass-roof villas is derived from the typical Balinese “Lumbung”. The upper part of this center hut of each family compound serves as a rice barn, while the lower floor - an elevated lounging area (”Bale”) - is used as a meeting place.
We transformed this concept into a unique design of our guest rooms. While the dome shaped grass rooftop of the upper floors conveys a spacious and tropical feeling, the ground floor’s Bale is made into a cozy retreat next to the garden. The lobby, restaurant and shopping area are designed to follow the “Lumbung”-concept.
The garden and rooftop rooms have all cozy and comfortable elevated lounging areas and terraces for private breakfast or dining. While your eyes can rest, enjoying the lush surrounding gardens, tastefully selected furniture will make you feel at home. All guest rooms have spacious bathrooms with shower and/or bath, mini bar and refrigerator, in-room safe, coffee/tea maker, color TV set with satellite channels, telephone with IDD-facilities and individually controlled A/C.
A large 2-level swimming pool with a waterfall, cave, island, bridges, bubble pool, connecting lotus ponds++. There is a bar counter at the pool side, so you can enjoy our tropical drinks splashing in the water. Next to the pool you can have a game of chess or backgammon.

The restaurant placed under a large Balinese pagoda right next to the pool, the restaurant is able to cater to all of your culinary needs. Open daily from 07:00 until 23:00 it serves selected creations from around the world as well as Indonesian specialties. A smaller snack menu with many favorites is also available during the day. Established in 1976 Dhyana Pura Beach Resort was initially dedicated for a place to retreat body and soul as this 3,8 hectares property was the only reason people come to the area of Seminyak which, at time was still a hidden paradise. Hence the street was named Jalan Dhyana Pura.

Dhyana Pura Beach Resort has two main restaurants: Eden Garden restaurant for in house guests and Kintamani restaurant for conferences. Dinner arrangement in our beautiful garden is mostly accompanied by Balinese dance on the open stage. On request we organize parties and get togethers on the roof of our building, with spectacular view of Kuta Beach sunset.
The Eden Garden restaurant is set in the beautiful tropical garden of Dhyana Pura Beach Resort, next to our spacious swimming pool and located only a few steps from the beach.
The restaurant was founded in 1977 and is one of the oldest Balinese restaurants in Seminyak area. Because of our long-term experience in hospitality we offer great service and fine quality. The Eden Garden restaurant offers a variety of specialities from the Balinese and Indonesian cuisine. We also serve a fine selection of Chinese and Western specialities.
Our chef and his team prepare the food with passion, simply because they want to surprise you with their exceptional cooking. Kintamani restaurant is situated within wonderful tropical garden and is mostly used for conference or meeting groups up to 200 persons and special occasions such as wedding ceremonies and welcome- farewell dinners.
During such events our cooks will prepare an array of beautiful buffets that can also be served in our romantic garden. The restaurant also arranges buffet diners accompanied by traditional Balinese dance performance.
Walk through brick paths wind through frangipani, crotons, hibiscus, bougainvillea and other shrubs displaying riotous colour or heady perfume. Sprinkled throughout the garden are papaws, coconuts and bananas. The brick path leads over small, humpbacked, picturesque bridges, crossing the channels of fresh water that flow through the gardens. The water channels are symbolic, as the making of ‘holy water’ for purification purposes is a central to the typical Balinese culture.
