Anda Amed Resort is situated in the north east of Bali facing out across the sea towards Lombok. The Amed area is often referred to as the “REAL” Bali. We are only a two hour drive from the hustle and bustle of Kuta and Denpasar but the difference is remarkable. Amed is just a 2 hour drive from the airport and Kuta. The road follows the east coast, through the terraced rice fields of Tirta Ganga before arriving here at the Anda Amed Resort.
Time is not measured in hours and weeks here but by the setting and rising of the sun and the appearance of the full moon. By the gentle sea breezes of the dry season and the monsoonal downpours of the wet season. Here life continues onwards as it always has done - with a calmness and tranquility that leaves the mind and body soothed and peaceful.
Amed is a 10 kilometer stretch of secluded bays and sleepy fishing hamlets with a background of magnificently rugged hills and mountains. The seas are blue and filled with an abundance of fish winding their way through the coral reefs that line the entire coastline.
Anda Amed Resort is nestled into the hillside while still only a few steps from the beach. The contemporary style accommodation offers spectacular 180 degree views.
Anda Amed Resort comprises of contemporary villa style accommodation. Each villa has it’s own private garden stepped into the hillside.
On your verandah there is day bed and a dining area where you can read a book, gaze at the magnificent views, take a massage or just enjoy a meal in private. The large, airy bedrooms are entered through glass sliding doors, that from your bed offer you an uninterrupted view of the sea.
The one bedroom villas at Anda Amed Resort each have there own private garden, large bedroom with a queen size bed, mosquito nets, air conditioning, bar fridge and safe. The huge bathrooms consist of a bathtub and separate shower and ultra modern accessories.
The family villa is made up of two bedrooms and two bathrooms. One bedroom has a queen size bed, mosquito nets, air conditioning, bar fridge and safe. The second bedroom has the same facilities but with twin beds.
Amed is probably most well known for being Bali’s best dive destination. There are a range of dives suitable for both beginners and the more advanced diver. You can dive shallow fringe reefs, dramatic drop offs and fascinating wrecks. There are also many easily accessible snorkeling spots around the Amed coastline. There are several good dive shops in the area, the most established being ECO DIVE.
For the more energetic traveler there are several trekking expeditions around Amed. Mount Agung is Bali’s highest volcano (3,142 meters) and if you leave from Anda Amed early in the morning you can climb to the peak in time for sunrise.
All around the Bali coastlines you have probably noticed the small fishing boats of the local people. The Indonesian word for these is Jukung. If you wish to see the picturesque bays and rugged mountain peaks of Amed from the sea or even go out with the locals for a spot of fishing this can also be arranged at Anda Amed Resort.
Motor bikes or bicycles are available for rent should you wish to pass a few days touring the local area in your own time.
Santai Hotel is located on the East coast of Bali, in verdant tropical gardens and with Mount Agung rising in the background. It is a 60 minutes drive North of Candi Dasa and just over two hours from Denpasar International Airport.
The word ‘Santai’ means relax and that is just what you can do here. The drive to Santai Hotel is picturesque and takes you along the coastline, through local villages, alongside rice fields and close to many places of interest. The Amed coastal area itself is off the beaten track and is a delight to explore either on foot, by motorcycle or car.
Santai Hotel has six individual Indonesian style bungalows, three Ocean View and three Garden view. In addition there are four room units which follow same theme than bungalows. The restaurant serves a blend of Indonesian, Balinese and Western food. (Our houseguests and other visitors to the area who dine with us tell us it’s the best in the area.)
Try some of the local dishes ranging from grilled or B.B.Q freshly caught fish cooked with Balinese spices and sauces (barracuda is a favorite) to Gado-Gado, a wonderful warm vegetarian salad with lashings of peanut sauce.
For those quiet times you can relax in the gardens under the shade of the pagoda and read a book from our library or just watch the ocean gently lapping the shore.

The restaurant placed under a large Balinese pagoda right next to the pool, the restaurant is able to cater to all of your culinary needs. Open daily from 07:00 until 23:00 it serves selected creations from around the world as well as Indonesian specialties. A smaller snack menu with many favorites is also available during the day. Have a cold beer with friends at our pool bar in the afternoon or enjoy a cocktail at our beautiful restaurant bar before dinner. Established in 1976 Dhyana Pura Beach Resort was initially dedicated for a place to retreat body and soul as this 3,8 hectares property was the only reason people come to the area of Seminyak which, at time was still a hidden paradise. Hence the street was named Jalan Dhyana Pura.

first 90 rooms were built to accommodate as contemplation place along with its two-story hall for group meditation. Dhyana Pura Beach Resort has two main restaurants: Eden Garden restaurant for in house guests and Kintamani restaurant for conferences. Dinner arrangement in our beautiful garden is mostly accompanied by Balinese dance on the open stage. On request we organize parties and get togethers on the roof of our building, with spectacular view of Kuta Beach sunset.
The Eden Garden restaurant is set in the beautiful tropical garden of Dhyana Pura Beach Resort, next to our spacious swimming pool and located only a few steps from the beach.
The restaurant was founded in 1977 and is one of the oldest Balinese restaurants in Seminyak area. Because of our long-term experience in hospitality we offer great service and fine quality. The Eden Garden restaurant offers a variety of specialities from the Balinese and Indonesian cuisine. We also serve a fine selection of Chinese and Western specialities.
Our chef and his team prepare the food with passion, simply because they want to surprise you with their exceptional cooking. Our friendly restaurant staff is dressed in traditional Balinese clothes and will provide personal attention to make sure that you feel at home. Kintamani restaurant is situated within wonderful tropical garden and is mostly used for conference or meeting groups up to 200 persons and special occasions such as wedding ceremonies and welcome- farewell dinners.
During such events our cooks will prepare an array of beautiful buffets that can also be served in our romantic garden. The restaurant also arranges buffet diners accompanied by traditional Balinese dance performance.
Walk through brick paths wind through frangipani, crotons, hibiscus, bougainvillea and other shrubs displaying riotous colour or heady perfume. Sprinkled throughout the garden are papaws, coconuts and bananas. The brick path leads over small, humpbacked, picturesque bridges, crossing the channels of fresh water that flow through the gardens. The water channels are symbolic, as the making of ‘holy water’ for purification purposes is a central to the typical Balinese culture.
