Santai Hotel
Santai Hotel is located on the East coast of Bali, in verdant tropical gardens and with Mount Agung rising in the background. It is a 60 minutes drive North of Candi Dasa and just over two hours from Denpasar International Airport.
The word ‘Santai’ means relax and that is just what you can do here. The drive to Santai Hotel is picturesque and takes you along the coastline, through local villages, alongside rice fields and close to many places of interest. The Amed coastal area itself is off the beaten track and is a delight to explore either on foot, by motorcycle or car.
Santai Hotel has six individual Indonesian style bungalows, three Ocean View and three Garden view. In addition there are four room units which follow same theme than bungalows. Santai Hotel, a boutique hotel that caters for the traveller who wants to get away from it all and stay in ‘local’ high quality resort accommodation with the comforts of home.
The restaurant serves a blend of Indonesian, Balinese and Western food. (Our houseguests and other visitors to the area who dine with us tell us it’s the best in the area.)
Try some of the local dishes ranging from grilled or B.B.Q freshly caught fish cooked with Balinese spices and sauces (barracuda is a favorite) to Gado-Gado, a wonderful warm vegetarian salad with lashings of peanut sauce.
For those quiet times you can relax in the gardens under the shade of the pagoda and read a book from our library or just watch the ocean gently lapping the shore.
