Hotel Vila Lumbung
The Hotel Vila Lumbung is a small exotic village surrounded by masterly designed tropical gardens of approximately 12.000 square meters. The special shape of the grass-roof villas is derived from the typical Balinese “Lumbung”. The upper part of this center hut of each family compound serves as a rice barn, while the lower floor - an elevated lounging area (”Bale”) - is used as a meeting place.
We transformed this concept into a unique design of our guest rooms. While the dome shaped grass rooftop of the upper floors conveys a spacious and tropical feeling, the ground floor’s Bale is made into a cozy retreat next to the garden. The lobby, restaurant and shopping area are designed to follow the “Lumbung”-concept.
The garden and rooftop rooms have all cozy and comfortable elevated lounging areas and terraces for private breakfast or dining. While your eyes can rest, enjoying the lush surrounding gardens, tastefully selected furniture will make you feel at home. All guest rooms have spacious bathrooms with shower and/or bath, mini bar and refrigerator, in-room safe, coffee/tea maker, color TV set with satellite channels, telephone with IDD-facilities and individually controlled A/C.
A large 2-level swimming pool with a waterfall, cave, island, bridges, bubble pool, connecting lotus ponds++. There is a bar counter at the pool side, so you can enjoy our tropical drinks splashing in the water. Next to the pool you can have a game of chess or backgammon.
At The Lumbung Restaurant a cozy and tranquil ambience sets a relaxed mood for your dinner. A romantic setting alongside the pool and waterfall, offering an innovative blend of Eastern and Western cuisine. Just come and see the beautifully designed restaurant with its generous terraces surrounded by lush gardens and lotus ponds and choose one of the many cozy corners. Have one of our tropical fruit drinks or special cocktails as a starter. Enjoy excellent and tasty food from an International menu with the personal attendance of our well-trained staff.
